Biography

Kristin Giroux received her Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of California at San Francisco where she completed a fellowship in Adolescent Health. She was drawn to midwifery for the opportunity to provide full spectrum sexual and reproductive health care. She is fluent in Spanish and practiced as a midwife for six years in the Southwest, mainly on the U.S./ Mexico border.  Kristin's special clinical interests include interprofessional maternal health care and interprofessional education, diversification of the workforce, and immigrant health.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, salsa dancing, and exploring Portland's food scene.
